7:38 AM - Sevyn had a seizure that lasted about one minute. The nurses and doctors were very attentive and ordered a CT and possible MRI right away.

8:20 AM - Sevyn was taken down for her CT/MRI

9:20 AM - The CT showed that Sevyn had a stroke at some point before the seizure. The stroke caused the seizure. They believe that the stroke was caused by a blood clot that traveled to her brain.

11:11 AM - Sevyn came back from her CT and MRI. They switched her blood thinning medicine and started her own a steroid medicine.

The two things mentioned were:

Heparin induced thrombocytopenia

Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome

She slept for most of the day.. well all of the day. The sedation really knocks her out.

8:50 PM - She had an ultrasound of her brain.

They still don’t have definitive answers to why she is getting clots. There are still some pending labs that we hope to get early this week.

My great grandfather (Buttercup) also had seizures today. Please keep him in your prayers.
