God has been showing his presence daily and it surely is felt and recognized. I asked Him to bless Sevyn with a gift for her 4-month birthday and here we are today in a NEW ROOM on the 7th floor (after two long weeks in PICU). Coincidence her birthday and room number are on the same sign?

7:15 AM - She slept well after we got settled in her new room. One of her doctors for today came to check in… and to our surprise, she remembers SEVYN from when she was born at Holy Cross (her first residency). She said she remembered her name and the ONESIE we made for Sevyn and of course HER HAIR.

7:30 AM - Breakfast time… She’s making a lot of progress drinking from the bottle.

8:00 AM - Quick nap…. then a good 40 minutes of crying… hopefully she can nap more…

9:10 AM - Morning Rounds:
Going to talk to several teams to get caught up with everything…
Hematology when they want to do repeat imaging.
Ortho to get updated on her right-hand
Speech to discuss bottle feeds
ID to discuss why the white blood count was up… they drew labs to see if could it be from all that’s going on or infection… Depending on their answer she could be coming off antibiotics

9:20 AM - She’s finally giving herself a break and taking a nap.

9:45 AM - A few doctors who missed rounds came and mentioned potential plans for Sevyn's transition before going home. The HSC Pediatrics Center is a subacute facility for OT PT ST mainly all therapy staff. In addition to providing us (parents) with any training, we need to care for her. Stays can last 1 week to 4 weeks.

10:25 AM - She sitting in her baby Bjorn just chilling and watching TV with dad. Also, the nurses gave us some great news… HER SISTERS HERO AND PHOENIX CAN COME VISIT HER!!! HORRAY!!!!

11:35 AM - Nurse came in to check vitals

12:00 PM - Visit with Ms. Risi 😍

1:00 PM - ID came to check-in. They will take a look at the labs from this morning and give us an update on her white blood cell. SMH they woke her up… she is not happy .

1:15 PM - Case manager came to introduce herself.

1:55 PM - She still was crying/fussing so decided to feed her and she did really well and has fallen back to sleep. Guess it was hunger more than anything else. I would have tried feeding her earlier but nurse did not want to over-feed her.

2:20 PM - Doctor came in to update us on a few things. They’ll be coming down a little on her blood thinner, Waiting to hear back on keeping her on antibiotics longer or if having to switch/add another.

3:00 PM - big sisters arrive 😇😇😇

5:00 PM - Daddy sees a rainbow 🌈 there are 7 colors in a rainbow. A real rainbow represents God’s promise and it is an assurance that God has not forgotten us and that he continues to work in this world.
