When it rains, it pours. Eighteen days in the hospital, my grandfather passed, one of our cars breaking down and needing significant repairs. The devil is working hard to steal, kill, and destroy - but we are so thankful that this journey is bringing us closer to God. We are still smiling, praying, and glorifying God.

After posting on IG/FB last night, we received overwhelming love, support, and prayers from family and friends. We are forever grateful to everyone who has agreed to pray with us for Sevyn’s complete healing from head to toe and each of her tiny fingers.

8:47 AM - Morning Rounds
Doctors came and checked in with how she was feeling
We mentioned about swelling and a bruise on her left foot (they took a look)
They will check with her labs.
They will discuss with Speech Therapy about changing her feeding starting the first 30 minutes with a bottle and then finishing using the tube
Vitas has been stable for 24 hours. She’s stable and there is no need to have her on certain monitors.
More labs - regular hematology blood work because her white blood cells were elevated a little and ID wants to repeat cultures and labs that show inflammation in the body.
Discussion about - TEE a scan of the heart and said they don’t think it is necessary.
Antibiotics for UTI will end today. ID is okay with it, but will discuss it to determine.
Weaning plan - day 2 of getting 3.9mg. Then next week will begin on Sunday
Methadone wean will begin/continue at 4 pm today
ID will take a look at her. Will request ultrasounds on her leg
Clotting, feeding, and weening are what’s keeping her here at the Hospital.

10:15 AM - We went down to get her ultrasound. She did a great job. She definitely found comfort in squeezing my finger.
