I’ve seen a breakthrough that I can’t explain…

There’s just some problems only God can fix
All of these trials wore me down to this
I’ve seen it happen time and time again
There’s just some problems only God can fix

There’s just some battles flesh and blood can’t win
There’ll be some moments that just don’t make sense
Can’t see it now, but I’m still convinced
There’s just problems only God can fix

[Chorus]
Not by power, not by might
By the Spirit of the living
Spirit of the living God
Not my battle, not my fight
By the Spirit of the Living
Spirit of the Living God

Song of the Day:
“God Problems” by Maverick City Music

4:00 AM - Nurse gave Sevyn her blood thinner shot. She reached her feeding goal in both volume and rate without using the NG tube.  Sevyn would have to keep it up so that she wouldn’t have to use the tube.

6:33 AM - Ortho came to change her dressing and examine her right hand. God is good.
From my understanding, the hand is looking better as more pink is showing up on her skin (palm and wrist)
Her nails have been growing and you can see some pink in her nail bed (little finger and index). “Wounds are looking really nice.” - Ortho guy

DURING THE RE-DRESSING OF THE RIGHT HAND
PLACE THE CAPTION TO THIS PHOTO IN THE COMMENTS LOL

6:52 AM - SUNRISE - I’ll miss watching the sunrise but I won’t miss being here…

8:08 - Ortho Hand Surgeon came to speak with us.  He discussed the plan moving forward. There were some questions that he was able to answer and some that he didn’t have an answer to.

9:00 AM - Morning Rounds: the team sounded confident that we will be discharged tomorrow.
However, it is up to us now (the parents) to learn how to feed the NG tube to her stomach and be comfortable giving her injections for the blood thinner.
She’s almost halfway to her feeding goal which would remove the NG tube.
The last dose of Methadone was yesterday
Steroid starting tomorrow which can be done orally or via NG tube every other day for 5 days.
Plan for the day:
Remove the pic line (YAY!!!)
Parent/s performing the injection and replacing the NG tube.
Continue bottle feeding.

10:00 AM - Creating our Healing Garden Stone… During our stay in the PICU, we discovered the healing garden.
We found a stone in the ground ivy that said HOPE that spoke to us. We’ve kept this stone at the foot of her bed ever since as a reminder.  Later we noticed that it had 7 hearts in both PINK and GREEN.
(calm down Sorors calm down Sorors…..LOL)
Mom’s favorite color is PINK
Dad’s favorite color is GREEN… lol

Anywho, we really felt inspired by the stone to create several for Sevyn to leave in the garden.
(Dad is still working on his)
Here is Mom’s

12:35 PM - A doctor from PTOT came by to check up on her progress with movement.

12:45 PM - Johns Hopkins Home Care nurse came by to show us how to hook up the Pump

1:50 PM - THE PIC LINE WAS REMOVED… PRAISE GOD!!!

2:30 PM - The nurse came to give us the test baby for the NG tube.

3:10 PM - Took a trip to the healing garden to leave mom’s stone.

5:45 PM - I DID IT!!! I gave Sevyn her second dose of blood thinners for the day.
