it ain’t over

“I know the odds look stacked against you
And it seems there's no way out
I know the issue seems unchangeable
And that there's no reason to shout
But the impossible is God's chance
To work a miracle, a miracle
So just know

It ain't over until God says it's over
It ain't over until God says it's done
It ain't over until God says it's over
Keep fighting until your victory is won”

Song of the Day: “It Ain’t Over” by Maurette Brown Clark

7:00 AM - Ortho stopped by to try to ruin my day. But I know who sits on the throne, and He has the final say. Anyway, ortho stopped by to take a look at Sevyn’s right hand (fasciotomy hand due to compartment syndrome). They are monitoring her hand and fingers to ensure that blood flow returns and amputation is not needed.

Lord, We come before you today with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your mercy and grace poured out upon us. We are incredibly thankful for the successful fasciotomy of Sevyn's hand and for the complete restoration of blood flow to her fingers. We seek your divine intervention and healing. We humbly ask that you restore the blood flow in Sevyn’s tiny fingers.

We know You are the Great Physician, and nothing is impossible for You. We ask that You guide the hands of the medical professionals who are treating Sevyn, and that You give them wisdom and discernment to make the best decisions for her care.

We thank You for choosing Sevyn to be a vessel of your love and wonder. We pray that her life will continue to be a testimony of Your goodness and grace and that others will be drawn to you through her. In Jesus Name, we pray, Amen.

9:00 AM - Sevyn drank about 30 ml from the bottle!! (the goal is 15 ml, twice a day)

10:45 AM - Morning Rounds - The distal part of her fingers on her right hand are still a concern for the doctors. They think that the tissue in her fingers has died and the distal part of her fingers could fall off. They are unaware how much of her muscle tissue in the hand will be recovered.
All I have to say about this is - it ain’t over until God says it’s over.

Whatever His will is for Sevyn, we are content with that and thank Him for all that he has done this past week and a half.

1:45 PM - She was very restless today. Maybe she was uncomfortable or in pain. They are weaning her off the pain meds. She seemed to like when I held her (while standing).
