Thursday, December 14th: Physical Therapy At-Home Visit

Friday, December 15th:

Saturday, December 16th: Out and About - we took a trip to the Mall!

WARNING: Upcoming Photos of Sevyn’s Hand may be too graphic for some.

Sunday, December 17th: When I unwrapped Sevyn’s hand this morning, I noticed that her middle finger was detaching. It was literally hanging on by a little piece of skin.

Oh, the timing!!?? It’s Showcase Day and we leave for Florida in two days!

As you can see, she’s still a happy baby!

We called CNMC and John Hopkins several times to see if we needed to make our way to the Emergency Room. When we finally got a hold of someone (hours later), they told us to take pictures and send them to the doctor.

P.O.M. Winter Showcase - Sevyn’s first showcase - she’s in the sound booth with Mommy. Phoenix and Hero danced! Phoenix’s first time on stage :)

Monday, December 18th: We went to see the hand surgeon at CNMC. He barely touched her hand. He said to let the finger fall off on its own. He gave us the “ok” to travel. He said that should the finger fall off, we should be on the lookout for infection and bleeding. If we don’t see signs of infection or heavy bleeding, we do not need to go to the emergency room.

WARNING: Upcoming Photos are Graphic.

Tuesday, December 19: Today we traveled to Florida. It was Sevyn’s first time on a plane :) She did great! The Casey Girls are pros at traveling, so she knows what’s up!

When we got settled at Inha and Granddaddy’s house - I cut off the little bit of skin/scab that was keeping her middle finger attached. It didn’t make sense to let it dangle any longer.

The blood seen here is from the index finger (not the middle finger). There is something definitely off with the index finger. It has been more swollen than the other fingers. The X-Ray she had done at John Hopkins also showed that the finger was angled towards the middle finger and not straight like the others. We believe it is either broken or dislocated.

God is still good! He is still faithful!

His plans for Sevyn’s life outweigh what we could ever imagine or think. He only has goodness in store for her life. That gives me tremendous peace and joy.
